Alongside his work as an actor, Oliver has a strong belief in the power of education to develop others and to encourage social mobility.
He is a qualified teacher of English, having trained through the competitive Teach First Leadership Development Programme. After working in senior leadership as an English consultant, rapidly improving outcomes across 31 schools in the country’s most successful large multi-academy trust, Oliver is always interested in ways in which he can collaborate in the school improvement space. He is especially interested in large-scale opportunities that aim to improve the life chances of young people living in disadvantage. Oliver is also a senior examiner of English Literature with AQA.
