Green city roots, big smoke craft
My name is Olly.
Over time, with hard work, experience (and plenty of mistakes along the way), I have acquired a set of interconnected creative skills, some more niche than others…
Below you can find out more about my experience and how it might help you.

Acting and presenting
After training at a leading drama school in London, as an actor my work has included award-winning indie films, regional, fringe and West End theatre, television, audiobook and commercial roles. As producer I launched a new-writing programme in the West End with an inclusivity and EDI focus, creating accessibility for writers, directors and actors into the arts. As a presenter I have hosted podcasts and interviewed people of note for live audiences. As a public-speaking coach I’ve worked with a range of clients on a 121 basis, helping them to find their voice and own the stage.
Educational leadership and consultancy
I am an ambassador of UK enterprise Teach First, having trained under their Leadership Development Programme (LDP). A qualified English teacher and experienced senior leader, I’ve led improvement projects in multi-academy trusts across London, Essex and Yorkshire (including TES MAT of the Year 2025), with a track record of collaboratively improving outcomes for young people. Right now I am Trust Director for English at SHARE MAT, working with Educating Yorkshire’s very own Thornhill Community Academy, amongst others. As a school-improvement director and consultant, I am especially interested about using creative and problem-solving skills to empower young people and to boost social mobility.
Podcasting, audiobooks and content creation
As a presenter, I have combined my love for education and the creative arts, having produced and narrated audiobooks for school-children and having hosted and produced education podcasts for teachers, drawing in listeners internationally. I have compered educational conferences and interviewed people of note in front of live audiences, including His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Ofsted.
Project management and bespoke client services
My experience working across the creative and education sectors has provided me with the leadership skills and interpersonal qualities to oversee and drive projects of varying contexts. Above all I value emotional intelligence, excellent communication, the art of (truly) listening and finding innovative ways to problem solve, moving ideas from genesis to completion.
Location
With bases in Sheffield and London, and the ability both to travel and work remotely, I am always open to new partnerships and projects.

Listen to Oliver’s recent audiobook project: a complete unabridged narration of Charles Dickens’ gothic masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, recorded for Harris Federation. Join Scrooge, a greedy, miserly Victorian who is as “solitary as an oyster,” and listen as he is visited by three spirits, intent on teaching him that no matter who you are, it’s never too late to change…
